Tour Plan
Drive 123km (approx. 6 hrs) to the Tibet border at Kyirong (2,500m).
A day to adjust to the plateau; explore the border town.
Across the high plateau to Saga (4,600m).
Continue west along the Brahmaputra to Paryang (4,600m).
First sight of the holy lake; camp at Chiu Gompa (4,580m).
Circumnavigate the lake and drive to Darchen (4,675m), kora base.
Trek to Dirapuk (5,150m) below the north face of Kailash.
Cross the 5,636m Dolma La pass to Zuthulpuk (4,790m) — the spiritual heart of the kora.
Finish the 52km kora and return to Darchen; drive to Lake Manasarovar.
Begin the journey back east.
Return to Saga.
Back over the pass to Kyirong.
Cross the border and descend to Kathmandu.
End of service — airport drop.
